A beauty with sails sailed through the St. Ante channel
Club Med II is a schooner with 5 masts, 194 meters long, and one of the largest sailing ships for cruise travel in the world. It was built in 1992 at the Ateliers et Chantiers shipyard in the French port city of Le Havre and is owned by the French tour operator Club Med, which also owns luxury villas, exclusive resorts, and glamorous mountain cabins. Club Med II is the only cruiser in the Club Med fleet, with a capacity of 386 passengers, cared for by 214 crew members.
The luxurious 184 cabins are spread across three decks and divided into three categories depending on their size, ranging from 19 m² to 42 m². A collaboration with the prestigious French culinary institute Ferrandi Paris ensures an exceptional gastronomic experience for the ship’s guests, while the French spa brand Sothys is responsible for wellness treatments and providing top-notch spa services.
During the summer season, it operates in the Mediterranean, Aegean, and Adriatic Seas, while winters are reserved for luxurious cruises for high-net-worth guests in the Caribbean and Bahamas. Its specialty is docking in smaller ports and lesser-known tourist destinations, as well as anchoring in the most attractive destinations in the world where access for mega-cruise ships and the crowds they bring is restricted, ensuring the exclusivity of cruising with Club Med II.
In addition, Club Med, which owns the namesake sailing ship, offers always-attractive transoceanic crossings, maintaining the tradition of Transatlantic crossings with a touch of glamour and prestige.
As Club Med II visits the most attractive destinations, we are honored that Šibenik has found its place on its list.
