A luxurious cruise ship, a symbol of ultimate comfort and travel, sailed into the port of Šibenik this morning, sparking excitement

As part of its journey from Bari to Venice, the cruise ship Viking Saturn, owned by the award-winning Norwegian company Viking, arrived in the Šibenik port early this morning.
The luxurious cruise liner, 227 meters long, was built in 2023 and has a capacity of 930 passengers and 600 crew members. Viking Saturn is part of the posh cruise scene, representing the pinnacle of modern Scandinavian design and engineering.
With a construction cost of €340 million, it falls into the category of smaller, more luxurious cruisers, whose size allows docking in smaller ports and thus offers passengers the opportunity to explore lesser-known destinations.
Featuring spacious cabins that balance comfort and privacy, along with top-tier dining options, the ship caters even to the most discerning travellers. All cabins are equipped with private balconies, allowing passengers uninterrupted enjoyment of panoramic views.
Among the common areas on board, guests can enjoy an infinity pool, a spa and wellness centre inspired by Nordic traditions, a spacious library, as well as various lounges and restaurants.

According to this year’s itinerary, Viking Saturn will dock in Šibenik twice, and among other Croatian ports, it will also visit Dubrovnik, Split, and Zadar.
Viking is one of the most well-known cruise companies in the world. Founded in 1997 in Norway and headquartered in Basel, Switzerland, it operates globally with a fleet of river and ocean cruisers, as well as modern expedition ships.
Unlike other cruise lines, Viking ships do not have casinos, children’s facilities, or varied entertainment programs. Their cruises are instead designed for travellers who wish to explore the world and experience authenticity, cultural enrichment, and rich itineraries.

Scandinavian design, an all-inclusive experience with all meals, drinks, and excursions included, intriguing destinations in lesser-known locations with longer stays on land, cultural enrichment programs with guest lecturers and workshops, and ships designed exclusively for adults make Viking a unique cruise line.
With the philosophy of “less crowd, more discovery,” they are the perfect choice for those who want to travel in style, learn about the world, and explore destinations in a peaceful setting.

When the kids are grown, retirement begins, and investment income doubles, there’s no better option than to pack up, board one of the Viking ships, and set sail. Among their exclusive offerings are a 138-day world cruise and a journey from the northernmost to the southernmost point and back. Such exclusivity is offered only by Viking—and only twice a year.
