Fireplace, hammam, Bentley on the helipad… the extravagance knows no bounds on the Turkish celebrity yacht
If you have an extra 110 million euros and a passion for luxury vessels, it’s good to know that the award-winning mega yacht Victorius is up for sale.
This 85-meter explorer yacht, built in 2021 at the Akyacht shipyard in Turkey, has a capacity for 12 passengers and 28 crew members. M/Y Victorius is the largest yacht ever built in any Turkish shipyard, and the shipyard itself was created by the owner with the vision to transform Victorius into a mega-luxury villa that sails.
As the winner of two prestigious awards—the International Yacht & Aviation Award for Best Motor Yacht over 80 meters in 2022, and the Robb Report’s “Best of the Best” award for 2022—Victorius is the ultimate celebrity yacht in Turkey.
Designed not only to meet but exceed the expectations of a luxury vessel, this yacht features characteristics of both a cruising yacht and one designed for long-distance travel. M/Y Victorius was built in accordance with the Lloyd’s Register of Ships, as well as specific requirements for the construction of large yachts intended for commercial use (MSN/Merchant Shipping Notice/Large Commercial Yacht Code).
Powered by twin Caterpillar engines, Victorius generates 1,475 horsepower (1,085 kW) and can reach a maximum speed of 16 knots, with an economic cruising speed of 10 knots and a maximum range of 10,200 nautical miles.
Spread across three decks, there are 11 guest cabins, and among the other features that make Victorius a mega-luxury vessel are a cinema, gym, swimming pool with a Jacuzzi, hammam, children’s playroom, bar, sunbathing area, beauty center, various water “toys,” and even an open fireplace. While many would shy away from open flames on a yacht, the owner of Victorius, a Turkish entrepreneur and the owner of one of the largest car rental companies in Turkey, as well as a former rally driver, boldly goes where no one has gone before.
His love of speed and expensive toys is further demonstrated by the Bentley Continental parked on the yacht’s helipad as it sails into one of the world’s jet-set destinations.
If you decide to charter the yacht, it’s good to know that during the summer season, a Mediterranean tour along the coasts of Croatia, Italy, Sardinia, and France will set you back around 800,000 euros per week. The winter season, from October to April, is reserved for cruising in the Caribbean or the Indian Ocean, with stops in the Maldives or Seychelles, and for that, you’ll need to spare a mere million euros.
Whether chartered or sold to another owner, we hope to continue seeing Victorius anchored off the coast of Šibenik.
