Unique Blue Yacht Anchored in Šibenik
A luxurious 98-meter-long yacht, owned by Joe Lewis, a British billionaire, investor, and one of the owners of the Tottenham Hotspur football club, has arrived in Šibenik. According to Forbes, Joe Lewis ranks 12th on the list of the wealthiest people in the UK. In addition to his passion for football, the 84-year-old is a collector of valuable artworks, with his collection estimated to be worth around $1 billion.
The blue superyacht AVIVA, valued at £113 million, has a top speed of 20 knots and was built in 2017 at the German shipyard Abeking & Rasmussen. At the time, it was the largest yacht ever constructed by a German shipbuilder with a tradition of shipbuilding dating back to 1907. The renowned Reymond Langton Design was responsible for both the interior and exterior design of the yacht, and in 2018, the company received the prestigious Boat International Design and Innovation Award for its work.
The yacht’s blue hull reflects the color of the sea, while the light silver superstructure mirrors the sky, making Aviva an ultra-elegant, eco-friendly vessel. It can reach speeds of up to 11 knots on electric power alone, without using the main engines.
One of its unique features is being the first yacht with a full-size enclosed tennis court, measuring 20 meters long, 10 meters wide, and with a ceiling height of 6.65 meters, spanning two decks. The netting can be removed to transform the area into a sports hall, making it the largest sports space on any yacht in the world. In addition to the tennis court, this luxurious megayacht boasts a beach club that opens directly onto the sea. It can accommodate up to 16 guests and 25 crew members.
